The Lunar Eclipse of 3 March 2007
This was to be the first Lunar eclipse for us after a drought of several years. Unfortunately, it would rise during totality for my location. That being the case, I didn't go to any great lengths to observe and image it. By the time it rose above horizon obstructions, totality was, in fact, already over. Nevertheless, I took a look at it with my Burgess 15x70 binocs (beautiful) and my ETX125PE (likewise). It looked nice enough that I held our little Powershot A70 up to a 26mm plossl in the 125 and snapped away. Not bad considering the <ahem> "informal" nature of my imaging.
